ECG
An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a basic test that may be performed to evaluate your heart's rhythm and electrical activity. Sensors placed on the skin detect the electrical impulses produced by the heart when it beats. A machine records these signals, which a doctor examines to see whether they are odd.

A heart expert (cardiologist) or any doctor who feels you have a heart disease, including your primary care physician, may recommend an ECG. The test can be performed by a professionally certified healthcare expert at a hospital, clinic, or at your GP practise.
